Blood is drawn from a vein in the patient’s arm using a syringe which is then processed using a centrifuge machine. Our consultant will then prepare the centrifuged platelet-rich plasma for injection. The affected area is then numbed under local anaesthetic and using the diagnostic ultrasound scan a small amount of platelet-rich plasma will be injected into the affected area.
